HAY, how art you? Autumn season is upon us and I decided to go for a gingko leaves theme for October. I haven’t had the chance to see gingko leaves up close and I’d love to someday! Autumn has such a mellow and soft charm and I hope I encapsulated that in this month’s theme. If you enjoy fall themes, keep scrolling to check out my October plan with me bujo pages!

What I used this month:Â

The cover page features a trail of gingko leaves across the entire spread, made up of printed leaves, leaf-shape ephemera papers as well as hand-drawn leaves. I used the Ohuhu brush pens for that and I love how vivid the pen inks are.Â
To create a casual whimsical look, I stamped the fall quote in an uneven manner to match the diagonal trail of leaves. Lastly, the monthly header was also stamped unevenly on the right side to balance the layout.
This month, I attempted a new monthly log layout. Instead of a calendar, I added a vertical column on the left to document the month’s events. Three other columns are set up to record the month’s to-dos, intentions and things I am grateful for. I think I might miss the full page calendar look, but this layout is quite refreshing to see and use!
I went with my favourite weekly spread layout to kickstart October. Each page is roughly divided into six square sections with seven of the boxes to be used for each day’s planning. I then filled up the rest of the spaces with collages and a mix of paper and hand-drawn leaves.Â
Those paper leaves are part of this month’s free printable themed Gingko Season. The set features twelve gingko leaf shapes as well as fall quote cards and a faux washi tape strip.Â
As always, feel free to tag me on Instagram (@hay.studio) if you share any of your creations that contain my free printables; I would love to see them. Happy journaling!
