HAY, how art you? I’m super excited to share my 2025 bullet journal setup with you. This year, I’m whisking us away to the sun-soaked shores of the Mediterranean. Picture this: soft, dreamy pastels mingling with the intricate patterns of Mediterranean tiles, creating spreads that are fit for a brand new year. Ready to dive into this Mediterranean-inspired journey? What I used this month:Â

To create a mobile grid spacing guide, I cut away the first page which usually can’t be opened fully. I numbered the grids vertically and horizontally on both sides of the cut paper. Then, I decorated it using the Mediterranean style washi tape from The Washi Tape Shop. This mobile grid spacing guide has been very helpful for me to plan layouts and measure the dot grids more conveniently. I highly recommend you to do the same for your journal! You can use it as a bookmark, or attach it to the underside of the cover of the journal by pasting a paper pocket or a mini envelope.Â
For the name page, I decorated it last using the scrap materials after finishing all the spreads. I added an arch quote which is part of my free printable that is perfect to kickstart a new year. Read until the end to find the download link below!
The cover page features a background of mediterranean tiles, and the year 2025 written on cream card paper and pasted on. For the remaining space on the left, I added my word of the year and another arch quote to decorate.Â
One of my favourite things to do to prepare for a new year is to seek out an inspirational quote for my bullet journal. I found this one on Pinterest, and I love how it echoes my word of the year.Â
For the goals page, I drew four arches to represent each quarter of the year. Setting quarterly goals instead of annual ones makes achieving them less stressful and more realistic. Remember to break down the goals into actionable steps and schedule them monthly, weekly and daily for a better chance at attaining them!
I decided to squeeze the entire year into one future log spread, since I usually only fill it in at the start of the year. Most of the time, I keep track of my events using my calendar app digitally so I don’t refer to this spread as much. However, it is such an iconic bullet journal spread that I had to create it every year!
One of my favourite things to do at the end of each month is to fill up my monthly highlights spread. Every month, I will look back at the memorable events that have taken place and select one to document in this spread. I will also print out a mini photo to be pasted for memories’ sake.
Since the monthly highlights took up three pages, I used up the remaining page as a growth tracker. It is actually pretty fun watching the numbers change every month, and especially so at the end of the year. However, I had doubts calling it a growth tracker, because sometimes my Instagram followers dip instead (*awkward laugh*)…
This Mediterranean theme printable is designed to help you kickstart the new year. Have fun using it to decorate your new journal!
