HAY, how art you? Welcome to my January bujo setup! This month, I’m embracing a fresh and vibrant “Lemon” theme that perfectly captures the zesty energy of a new year. I’ve adorned my pages with charming lemon stickers that bring a pop of sunshine yellow to every spread, while incorporating delicate music score elements throughout to add a touch of vintage elegance. The combination of citrus brightness and classical musical motifs creates a unique aesthetic that feels both refreshing and timeless—ideal for staying organised and inspired as we kick off the year. I’m so excited to share how I’ve designed my January spreads, so keep scrolling if you’re interested!

It is the first year that I am using a square notebook, and I’m wowed by the amount of space to fill up compared to the A5 size that I am used to using. For the cover page, I kept it pretty simple by creating a black square border using slim black washi tape, and wrote the monthly header with the help of an alphabet template. The square is framed by lemon stickers and torn music score ephemera papers.Â
For the quote page, I chose this quirky quote I came across on Pinterest. It cracked me up and I had to put it on my January cover page!Â
Since I had the luxury of space, I drew this calendar for the monthly overview spread with spacings in between the boxes for a neat and airy look. Then, I made sections for setting the month’s intentions and to-do list, also framed with black washi tape and lemon stickers. I love the stark contrast between the cheery yellows and absolute blacks!
As the monthly overview was such a full and filled spread, I used a minimal layout for my first weekly spread for variety. I marked out four squares on each page, and used the first square to write the weekly header. Added decorations to some of the other squares, and voila!, the spread is completed. Â
