2026 Bullet Journal Setup

2026 Bullet Journal Setup

HAY, how art you? Welcome to my 2026 bullet journal setup! This year’s theme is “peaceful mellow days“, inspired by the tranquility of rolling landscapes and the warmth of cosy moments. The annual spreads feature collages of gentle hills and tiny people going about their peaceful lives, creating a sense of calm and contentment. The colour palette reflects this serene aesthetic, with warm brown kraft paper as the foundation, complemented by brown text and lush greens from landscape stickers. This combination evokes the feeling of a quiet afternoon in the countryside, where time moves slowly and every moment feels intentional. I hope this setup brings you as much joy and peace as it brings me. Keep reading to see the entire 2026 bullet journal setup!

2026 Bullet Journal Setup: Cover Page

Open up any bullet journal and you will notice that awkward first page that doesn’t quite lay flat fully, if you know what I mean! I like to remove that first page and use the cut paper to create either a grid spacing ruler guide, or templates to help me set up my weekly spreads as the year progresses. It is difficult to cut the page cleanly, so I usually leave a small flap, stick it down to the left side, then cover it with decorations.

This year, I used kraft paper to cover the centre of the cover page spread, adding a pop of warmth and setting the tone of the theme. The setup features PET landscape stickers I received from Journalsay, which inspired this peaceful theme.

On the left side, I adhered a small kraft paper envelope (from Muji!) to house two paper templates – a square and a rectangle. They will help me with creating sections for my weekly spreads this year.

2026 Bullet Journal Setup: Quote & Goals

2026 Bullet Journal Setup: Quote & Goals

A quote page is a must for any annual setup! This year I picked out a quote that I discovered from an artist and animator on Instagram – @1924us. He creates cosy animations starring a skeleton character! It sounds contradicting since skeletons are usually spooky but his works are filled with warmth and peacefulness.

On the other side of the spread, I made a page to set goals for every quarter of the year. I mixed and matched hand-drawn boxes with kraft paper sections for a laidback look.

2026 Bullet Journal Setup: Monthly Highlights

2026 Bullet Journal Setup: Monthly Highlights

My favourite annual spread is the monthly highlights spread, where I print and paste a photo and write down one highlight at the end of each month. It’s my first time using a square notebook so I was impressed with the amount of space available. Six boxes fill up each page so everything can fit perfectly in one single spread. Can’t wait to fill up in this spread in 2026!

2026 Bullet Journal Setup: Future Log

2026 Bullet Journal Setup: Future Log

Frankly, I was hesitant about setting up a future log spread as I hardly use or come back to this spread through the year. I prefer using a digital calendar for noting down events and important dates. Despite that, I went ahead to make this spread since the future log feels like such an iconic annual bullet journal spread. I kept everything to one single spread, with six slim columns on each page. It was fun designing this layout though!

2026 Bullet Journal Setup: Growth Tracker & Bingo

2026 Bullet Journal Setup: Growth Tracker & Bingo

The last yearly spread for 2026 is a growth tracker page and a Bingo page. The growth tracker tracks my social media stats, a fun way to document my content creation journey across the various platforms.

I was stumped on what page to make for the last one, and I came across this Bingo idea on YouTube. I filled up the boxes with fun activities that I have been wanting to try or get back to, and used a 3 by 3 grid to keep things simple. Looking forward to crossing out these fun things next year!
